Deep in the Heart of Texas: Round Top, Day 1

The antiquing begins in earnest...(and no, we did not see the Dancing Chicken, darn it!)

Lots of these, everywhere--photogenic, but fake.
Coconut cream pie and a Diet Coke--oh yeah!
Barn cupolas...lots of these, too, but I think they MIGHT be authentic. They are quite large.
Does this sum up "road trip," or what?
Bottle trees! And an art car above (Blogger won't let me put this text where I want to put it!)
 Things for sale...

Something totally cool: as the sign says, the "World's Smallest (active worship) Catholic Church."
And it WAS tiny, not much larger than a storage shed. It has 12 pews.
So charming...a sweet tiny cemetery behind it, with many Polish names on the headstones.
 And a Texas sunset.

Day One: it was good!

I am overwhelmed by the amount of things to look at, just in these pictures~! I can't even imagine seeing it all in person???

Damn on the lack of dancing chicken.
