Hearts (and Love) Are Everywhere

Check it out: this is my amaryllis plant after the blooms died...they made a heart for me (a heart with a ponytail?). Below is what it looked like in full bloom.

This is a bulb I got "new" two years ago--I'm never sure it's going to produce again when I retrieve the wizened bulb from the potting shed, but it's come back gangbusters two years now...I should have faith, I guess. Nature--it's pretty grand, isn't it?
P.S. Please excuse the dishes and plastic bag drying in the top shot...it ain't pretty, maybe, but it's my life! (At least they're clean dishes and not dirty ones!)

My husband has several amaryllis that he winters over and each year they just get bigger and bigger. I would not have the patience, but thankfully he does!

Wow! My Amaryllis never would bloom a second time, only grow a long green stalk and disappoint me. I have better luck with my other bulbs. Plant, forget and be surprised. It's the ones I pin my hopes on that don't produce.
P.S. I'm the only dishwasher in my house too.
Hugs!
