Guess where I've been? In Texas, on a really fun week-long road trip with my sweetest B., that's where! We started in Austin and then drove to Round Top, Texas, home of the Round Top Antique Fair.
While it was soooo soooo fun, the prices were mostly outlandish; we've been collecting various and sundry things for almost 30 years, so we know the market fairly well, and our eyebrows were raised much of the time. Above is what we bought from amongst the thousands and thousands of vendors and millions (literally) of things to peruse.
Bauer yellow ring bowls (including a huge one that we've never seen before); my most excellent vintage paper pulp duck decoy; two Irwin squeaky dogs direct from the defunct factory that made them; a red Bakelite bangle; a tin Christmas card file; a wee hotel silver mustard spoon; a cool sixties necklace (bottom corner); various paper things...
...a wacky made-in-Japan Christmas ornament; cute cloth cocktail napkins; Christmas stickers; hankies; and a Boy Scouts "Librarian" patch for my very own librarian.
There were zillions of rusty bits, fake antiques (I'm looking at you, painted metal chairs), charming willow baskets and furniture (and cheap!) made by a most charming elderly man, giant aluminum barn cupolas, a stuffed Yeti head (um, sure), way too much shabby chic, lovely farm tables, and tons of store display items, which I love with a deep passion. I love them, but it's not $500 worth of love...

Welcome back! I love all the goodies, especially those yellow bowls. They are gorgeous!
Glad you found a few treasures. I don't think about going to those shows because I KNOW the prices will put me in bankrupcy. Looking forward to more pictures.
Oooookaaaaay, here's my update! Looks like you had some good 'ole southern fun. Those onion rings! Wow! Yum.
